  1. Who can live at Lakeside?
    – Only Students who have been accepted and will attend PTCC.
  2. How do I apply?
    – Go to the How to Apply tab for instructions.
  3. I am graduating in May, do I have to sign a year lease.
    – No, for 2024 we will do custom leases based on the needs of the student for housing. New students beginning classes in 2024 may move in June and are expected to sign a one year lease.
  4. Can I live here in the summer?
    – Yes you can live here as long as you are enrolled as a student. If you are graduating in May, you may live in the facility until July 31.
  5. How much is rent?
    – $500 for a courtyard or street view and $600 for a lakeview room.
  6. Is there a deposit?
    – Yes, to reserve a room and act as a damage deposit, there is a $200 deposit due at signing of a lease.
  7. How many students can live at Lakeside?
    – We have space for approximately 150 students on a first come first served basis.
  8. Is there parking?
    – We have parking spots for approximately 100 vehicles. Additional parking is provided by PTCC two blocks away on campus.
  9. Where are showers located?
    – Showers are conveniently located throughout the facility.
  10. Are showers private?
    – There are several private shower options where you can lock the access for privacy. There are other showers available also.
  11. Are the floors co-ed?
    – The floors are co-ed however rooms that share an adjoining bathroom are expected to be shared by people who identify as the same sex.
  12. Is there access to Cross Lake?
    – We have 450 ft of lakeshore for you to enjoy and plans to add a dock. Kayaks are available to use.
  13. Can I fish/ice fish on Cross Lake?
    – There is good fishing including right from shore on our property. When you determine the ice is safe there is great ice fishing.
  14. Can I store fishing equipment?
    – There will be spaces available to store equipment.
  15. PTCC has a gunsmith program. Are guns allowed in the student housing?
    – Guns are not allowed to be stored in the Student Housing. There will be a separate locked outside entrance to a separate storage area for gunsmith or other students to store guns in separate lockers.
